Two decades ago we built our own atelier in Guangzhou, to complement our London workshop. It was a slow process with years of training, testing, and refining. But trust grew.
And now, after twenty years, our teams in London and Guangzhou work seamlessly together.
By keeping everything in-house — from concept to design, development, and production — we control each of the tiny, often unseen details. Tighter tolerances, cleaner starts, smoother screw threads — the kind of precision you can feel the moment you pick it up. This control allows us to deliver quality that is not only meticulous but fairly-priced. Workshop to customer. Just as it used to be.
Guangzhou, once famed for precision watchmaking in the early 19th century, now stands at the crossroads of tradition and high-tech innovation. The blend of East and West — of artisanal craft and modern engineering — shapes every Thomas Slim pen.
